Maintenance Technician
Position Summary
Metro Property Management is looking to add another Maintenance Technician to the team. We are looking for a dependable, hardworking individual who takes pride in their work and enjoys helping residents. The ideal candidate will have general home repair experience, strong attention to detail, and deadline oriented.
Responsibilities
- Complete resident work orders and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform general home and apartment repairs and maintenance.
- Utilize basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliance, carpentry, and general building maintenance .
- Diagnose maintenance issues and determine the appropriate repair or solution.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while completing repairs.
- Communicate professionally with residents, coworkers, supervisors, and vendors.
- Ensure work orders are completed accurately and within established deadlines.
- Respond to maintenance emergencies as part of a rotating On-Call schedule .
- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and maintenance standards.
- Take pride in the quality and appearance of completed work.
Qualifications & Skills
- General home repair knowledge and experience required.
- General electrical, plumbing, and carpentry knowledge is a plus.
- HVAC experience is not required but is a major plus.
- Strong customer service and communication skills are required.
- Must be dependable, organized, deadline-oriented, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work independently while also being a team player.
- Must be comfortable performing physically demanding work, including snow removal.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and safely perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Must be willing and able to participate in a rotating On-Call schedule .
Schedule
Metro Property Management offers a great rotating 4/10 work schedule , providing employees with a consistent four-day workweek.
Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
Employees will also participate in a rotating On-Call schedule to provide maintenance coverage when needed.
