Database Administrator

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is for an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator to support large-scale databases. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of performance tuning, troubleshooting, and managing Oracle Golden Gate multi-master replication. This hybrid position requires a minimum of three days per week onsite.

Responsibilities:

• Support large-scale Oracle database environments on UNIX
• Perform database performance tuning and troubleshooting
• Set up, manage, and upgrade Oracle Golden Gate multi-master replication environments
• Build and support Oracle Dataguard configurations
• Upgrade Oracle RAC 19c / 23AI environments
• Participate in on-call pager duty rotation
• Utilize shell scripting and Perl for automation and support tasks

Requirements:

• 10+ years of Oracle database administration experience
• 10+ years supporting large Oracle environments in UNIX
• 5+ years supporting Oracle RAC on UNIX environments
• Experience with Oracle 19c and Oracle 23ai
• Extensive experience with Oracle Golden Gate, including configuration, building, and supporting multi-master replication
• Proven experience with Oracle performance and tuning
• Experience with building and supporting Oracle Dataguard
• Experience with on-call pager duty
• Proficiency in shell scripting and Perl
• Experience with standard Oracle tools such as OEM, Toad, and SQL Developer

Desired skills:

• DBA experience in a financial institution

Pay range: $55.13 - $63.13 per hour
