You'll oversee the day-to-day accounting function, provide timely financial reporting to leadership, and play an important role in helping the business make sound financial decisions. What You'll Be Responsible For As Accountant, you will own the company's day-to-day accounting operations, including: Full-cycle Accounts Payable Full-cycle Accounts Receivable Payroll coordination Monthly and year-end close Budget support Working with our outside CPA Maintaining accurate financial systems and records Supporting job costing and project accounting (experience preferred but not required) What Success Looks Like The ideal candidate: Produces consistently accurate financial information Maintains organized, audit-ready records Meets deadlines without sacrificing quality Identifies issues before they become problems Communicates clearly with leadership Takes ownership rather than waiting to be directed Continuously looks for ways to improve financial processes Required Qualifications We're looking for someone who brings: 3+ years of progressive accounting experience Hands-on responsibility for AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger Associate's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience) Exceptional attention to detail Strong organizational and time-management skills High level of personal accountability and integrity Preferred Qualifications While not required, these experiences would be valuable: Construction or project accounting Job costing and Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting Percentage-of-completion accounting Schedules of Values (SOV) Retainage Construction management software (Ressio or similar) Why Oceanside Builders?
