Senior Purchasing Agent

Location Fully in Office Compensation $110,000 - $115,000 Job Summary LHH is working with a consumer services company located in Florham Park, NJ to hire a Senior Purchasing Agent. The qualified candidate must have around 7 years of experience and come from either an electrical or construction industry. This role is fully in office Monday through Friday from 7AM to 4PM. Responsibilities Responsible for the procurement of electrical materials, tools, equipment and subcontracted services Determine procurement requirements by reviewing project plans and purchase requisitions Generate purchase orders Coordinate negotiation with suppliers regarding pricing, contracts terms and agreements Support project budgets and forecasts, ensuring material deliveries meet project deadlines Keep track of vendor files, purchasing records and update information in the company database Generate reports on purchasing activities, vendor performance, and the status of project procurement efforts Assist with audits and internal evaluations related to purchasing operations and inventory control Required Experience High School Diploma At least 7 years of purchasing electrical or construction equipment Electrical or construction industry experience required Prior use of purchasing/procurement software Advanced Excel skills, including vlook up and pivot table capabilities Excellent organizational, follow up and negotiation skills Benefits Comprehensive employee benefits include health, dental, and vision coverage.
