But at the heart of our business is our people. Role Purpose Protect the property of the Client against loss and damage. Ensure the safety of personnel on the Client's property. Control access to restricted areas. What you will be doing Prevent unauthorized individuals from gaining access to the guarded area. Patrol area designated by client. Ensure all persons/property entering and leaving the premises are properly authorized. Immediately report any discrepancies, violations, incidents and concerns to the supervisor on duty. Check-in vehicles (where applicable). Never leave post without being properly relieved. Answer telephones in a polite and professional manner. Be able to operate a computer and access systems (where applicable). Complete reports in detail and in a timely manner. Must be familiar with all Governmental/Client/Company regulations. Keep supervisor informed of needs and problems in assigned areas, maintain cleanliness of immediate work area and report maintenance needs. Project a positive image and respond to inquiries from clients, staff and public in courteous manner. Attend meetings and in-service as required. Utilize appropriate communications channels and maintain records, report and files as required. Must be in proper uniform or business attire as directed by company officials. Identification badges must always be visible. Adhere to company policies and procedures and participate in achievement of company objectives. Utilize company and client equipment, supplies and resources in a conscientious, cost-effective manner. Perform other duties as requested. What we are looking for: Previous experience in security, military, public contract preferred. Must be 18 years of age or older. Must have reliable telephone and transportation. Must have HS diploma or GED.1. Treat all information as confidential. Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives. Must be able to sit, stand, lift, and/or bend throughout shift and climb stairs. Must be able to lift, carry, and/or hold up to 70 lbs. Must have good hearing and vision. May be exposed to occasional loud noise levels. Must pass pre-employment and random drug test. Must pass a pre-employment background check Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English. Must be able to verbally direct in English. Must be a citizen of the United States or possess the necessary authorization from the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS). May be required to work weekends, overnight shifts and holidays.
