About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an emergency room setting required. License: KY or compact license required. Certifications: NIH, BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS required. Must-Have: Candidates must have 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting. No trauma level one experience is necessary. Travel experience is preferred, but not required. First-time travelers must have level 1 emergency room experience. Requests for time off longer than one week will not be approved unless in special circumstances. Local travelers within 100 miles are not accepted. Description: Candidates must have experience in an emergency room setting. Required certifications include NIH, BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS. No trauma level one experience is necessary. Travel experience is preferred, but not required. Requests for time off longer than one week will not be approved unless in special circumstances. Candidates will float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby. Previous charge experience is preferred. Candidates should have experience in care of ventilated patients and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Patient age groups include adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census is around 90, with approximately 250 visits per day. Compliance requirements include BLS, ACLS, and TNCC. Modules are billable and completed during orientation and annually.
