Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years License: Must have active nursing license prior to start date Certifications: - BLS - ACLS - NRP - AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (Advanced also acceptable) Must-Have: - Triage experience - Circulate experience - Telemetry experience - Nursery experience preferred - Charge experience preferred Description: First-time travelers accepted. Candidates must have experience in labor and delivery. Preferred background in labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum (LDRP) nursing. Position involves caring for patients in a level 1 nursery and level 1 obstetrical delivery setting. Responsibilities include procedures such as circumcision, external version, and C-section. Candidates should be familiar with using panda warmers equipped with Neo-puff. Philips fetal monitoring with wireless capability is utilized in the unit. The staffing ratio is 1 nurse for every 2 couplets. Candidates must assist with sterile speculum exams, start and maintain IVs, and perform triage of obstetric patients. Vaginal deliveries and nursery experience are necessary. Floating to other areas of the hospital is required. Candidates will work weekends and are expected to cover weekend shifts as part of the role. Two supervisor references required. The facility cares for neonate patients with a daily census of one.
