With engineers employed in nearly every major department, engineering is in our DNA.Banner is a rapidly growing company that offers many personal development opportunities, an excellent benefits package, and a collaborative team of employees who are passionate about what they do.What You’ll Be Doing Position SummaryThis position is primarily responsible for the development and support of the Oracle E Business Suite of applications used at Banner.This includes designing and implementing functional and maintainable enhancements to Oracle, maintaining the data within the application and creating any permanent or ad hoc reports to help with the stability of the Oracle applications. The developer will prepare required documentation, and support existing applications to correct errors and improve application performance. This position will work with business personnel, business analysts, the solutions architect, and the broader IT organization.Key ResponsibilitiesConsult with business analysts, engineers, programmers, managers and others to design applications and interfacesDesign, develop, implement and maintain applications, tools and databases that integrate Oracle EBS with other applicationsProvide database design capabilitiesCompile and write documentation of program development and subsequent revisions that describes input, output and logical operation per Banner standardsInsert comments in the physical code so others can understand the programDevelop unit and functional test plansModify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performanceAcquire and maintain knowledge of Banner’s business practices, products and customersEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and managementBe available for on-call supportOther duties as assignedWhat You Bring to the Table To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, and regular attendance is required.
