Respiratory Technician - Respiratory Therapy

Description This Job is responsible for providing respiratory therapy, under medical direction, in the treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation and care of patients with deficiencies of the cardiopulmonary system. Summary This Job is responsible for providing respiratory therapy, under medical direction, in the treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation and care of patients with deficiencies of the cardiopulmonary system. Responsibilities Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. Cleans and sets-up Respiratory Care equipment on a daily basis and after being used for patient care. Monitors supplies and forms in Cardiopulmonary Department as needed. Ensures all Respiratory Care areas throughout the facility are properly stocked with supplies and equipment, at all times. Participates in educational activities to further his/her knowledge of Respiratory Care needs. Assist in coverage for EKG as needed. Job Requirements Education/Skills High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required Experience 1 ? 3 years of experience preferred Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications None required In accordance with the CHRISTUS Health License, Certification and Registration Verification Policy, all Associates are required to obtain the required certifications for their respective positions within the designated time frame.
