Senior Project Manager - Northern Colorado

Job ResponsibilitiesProvides strategic oversight on multiple projects simultaneouslyLeads project teams through critical project decisions and issue resolutionBuilds and maintains strong relationships with owners, architects, developers and key trade partnersActively participates in project pursuit strategy, client interviews, proposal development and project acquisition effortsOwnership and management of key client relationshipsSupports and collaborates with the Superintendent on all aspects of projectLeads staff meetings, monthly reviews, design review meetings, task force meetingsManages contract administrationEffectively, identifies, manages and mitigates project and company riskReviews, negotiates, and manages trade partner and material contractsMonitors team's performance and manages responsibilities accordinglyLeads construction services that satisfy client through on-time delivery of quality project within budgetParticipates in preconstruction efforts as neededLeads effective pre-planning efforts to ensure all aspects of project are addressed prior to mobilization and throughout construction processManages all financial aspects of the projectPartners with Superintendent to establish key project milestones through effective schedule management, and appropriately manages schedule impacts and recoveryEnsures full implementation of company safety and QA/QC programsEnsure closeout process is completed in a timely manner per company standardsProactively and independently manages issues, disputes and claims to ensure timely and fair resolutionMentors and trains direct reports and manages employee developmentTravels to jobsites, meetings and client locations as needed in support of employees, clients, project team, etc.Leads management of project team dynamic and manages personnel issues as neededParticipates in business and industry associations and opportunitiesFosters a positive reputation in the industry by building relationships and identifies project opportunities aligned with strategic plans, and goalsOther duties as assignedEducationBachelor's Degree in engineering, construction management or related field requiredExperienceMinimum 12 years of commercial construction experienceExperience running single projects of $60M+ or simultaneously running multiple projects over $25M+Technical SkillsProficient in project management software, PROCORE preferredProficient in BluebeamProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)Proficient in plan and specification readingEmployment RequirementsVerifiable work referencesSuccessful completion of post-offer background & drug screensAll positions at GH Phipps are considered safety sensitive.
