Equipment Operator

*Job Summary* The Boise County Road & Bridge Department is seeking a qualified *Full-Time Equipment Operator* to support road maintenance and construction activities in the Idaho City area. The ideal candidate will have strong heavy equipment experience—particularly with a grader—and the ability to work safely and efficiently in all weather conditions.

• Key Responsibilities*
• Operate a variety of heavy equipment, including motor graders, loaders, backhoes, and other machinery
• Perform road maintenance, repairs, and snow removal
• Maintain equipment through regular inspections and basic servicing
• Follow safety procedures and county policies at all times
• Work independently and as part of a team in remote outdoor environments
• Minimum Requirements*
• Proven grader operating experience (required)
• *Class A CDL with tanker endorsement* (required)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
• Ability to work in extreme Idaho weather conditions (heat, cold, snow, rain)
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor as needed
• *Must reside within 30mins of Idaho City to meet On-Call response requirements*
• Preferred Qualifications*
• Experience with rural/remote road systems
• Knowledge of basic equipment maintenance
• Snowplow or winter road maintenance experience
