Executive Service ASSISTANT PUBLIC DEFENDER Tennessee District Public Defenders Conference Legal Division Lafayette, TN Annual Salary: $71,940.00 to $188,508.00 Closing Date: 08/17/2026 Job Overview The Assistant Public Defender will work at the pleasure of the District Public Defender and will be under his/her direct supervision. The attorney will assume the duties and responsibilities of representing indigent persons for whom the District Public Defender has been appointed as counsel by the Court. Key Responsibilities We are seeking an Assistant Public Defender for our Macon County office located in Lafayette, Tennessee.
