As a Phlebotomist I, you will play a crucial role in our healthcare system by collecting and processing blood samples for diagnostic testing. This position is located in Palm Bay, Florida in beautiful Brevard County.Key Responsibilities:- Perform venipunctures and capillary punctures on patients of all ages- Properly label and process blood samples for testing- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all specimens collected- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members- Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies as needed- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentialityQualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent- Completion of an accredited phlebotomy program- Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience in a clinical setting- Current certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent- Excellent communication and customer service skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask- Knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment- Familiarity with medical terminology and basic computer skillsAdditional Parameters:- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is preferred- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods of timeJoin our team at Health First Careers and make a difference in the lives of our patients.
