Functional / Epilepsy Cranial Neurosurgeon Providence Swedish Neuroscience Institute - Seattle, WA Providence Swedish Neuroscience Institute is recruiting a fellowship‑trained Functional and Epilepsy Cranial Neurosurgeon to join and help lead a growing, nationally recognized neuroscience program. This is a rare opportunity to shape and expand a comprehensive epilepsy and functional neurosurgery program within a collaborative, high‑acuity academic environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and grow an advanced functional and epilepsy neurosurgery practice, with approximately 40% subspecialty focus and the balance in general neurosurgery. Compensation is between $858,913 and $1,225,139 per year. Perform complex cranial procedures including SEEG, RNS, DBS, VNS, LITT, open epilepsy surgery, stereotactic procedures, and neuromodulation. Practice primarily on the Issaquah campus while remaining fully integrated into the broader Swedish Neuroscience Institute for complex cases, inpatient care, and shared call. Work alongside experienced advanced practice clinicians, neurophysiology, nursing, and perioperative teams that support high‑acuity surgical care. Participate in weekly multidisciplinary epilepsy conferences and comprehensive pre‑surgical evaluation pathways. Enjoy a sustainable call model supported by APC daytime coverage and cranial fellow support overnight and on weekends. Qualifications Fellowship‑trained in Functional and Epilepsy Cranial Neurosurgery. Experience performing the listed complex cranial procedures. Ability to manage high‑acuity surgical care and a weekly call model. Strong teamwork skills with advanced practice clinicians, neurophysiology, nursing, and perioperative teams.
