Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
  • Active Oklahoma state PT license required to start the assignment.
  • Minimum 1 year of PT experience required. New graduates considered if they have Level II clinical experience beyond Level I observation.
  • Experience in Long Term Care (LTC) or skilled nursing/rehab settings required.
  • Ability to perform standardized assessments, develop and document plan of care, and record treatment minutes per regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to provide wound care, manual techniques, therapeutic exercise, ambulation training, modalities, and use of assistive devices.
  • Ability to supervise and support PT assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students.
  • BLS certification may be required from AHA or ARC.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with electronic documentation systems in a skilled nursing or rehab environment.
  • Experience participating in patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings.

Assignment Details

  • Shift: 8 hour days, 35 GWW.
  • Weekend requirement: None.
  • May be required to obtain DME or supplies as part of clinical practice requirements.

Impacting Patient Care

Effectively screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with physical functioning disorders and wound care, following regulatory and clinical practice standards. Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based interventions. Provide patient, family, and caregiver education and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members. Document all required clinical and regulatory information in the electronic record and provide comprehensive discharge summaries as required. Participate in required meetings, trainings, and in-services.
