Job Description The Sleep Technologist is a specialized healthcare professional responsible for conducting comprehensive sleep studies to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. This role includes preparing patients for overnight polysomnography, monitoring physiological data during sleep, and ensuring accurate data collection in accordance with established protocols.

Job Description The Sleep Technologist is a specialized healthcare professional responsible for conducting comprehensive sleep studies to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. This role includes preparing patients for overnight polysomnography, monitoring physiological data during sleep, and ensuring accurate data collection in accordance with established protocols.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and integrate patient information to determine appropriate testing parameters in collaboration with the ordering physician or clinical director.
- Explain pre-testing, testing, and post-testing procedures to patients.
- Follow established procedural protocols to ensure accurate data collection.
- Provide age-specific care, assessment, and education for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Generate accurate sleep study reports by tabulating and analyzing data.
- Perform routine care and maintenance of sleep study equipment.
- Evaluate sleep-related equipment and manage inventory.
- Respond to patient inquiries related to sleep study procedures with appropriate information.
- Diploma or Associate's degree from an accredited program.
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification required.
- Valid California state license as a Sleep Technologist.
- BLS certification required.
- Willingness to participate in at least one hour per month of position-related educational training.
- New graduates are welcome to apply (must hold RPSGT certification and CA license).
- Pay Range: $25-$40 per hour
