Emerging Companies, Venture Capital & M&A Associate Attorney AmLaw 50 Opportunity Compensation$235,000 – $365,000
A leading international law firm is seeking an Emerging Companies, Venture Capital & M&A Associate Attorney to join its Seattle office.
This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing innovative companies throughout their lifecycle, from formation through financing transactions and exits, as well as venture capital and growth equity investors.
Ideal Background• 2+ years of emerging companies, venture capital, or corporate transactional experience, preferably with a comparable law firm
• Experience representing startups, emerging growth companies, venture capital funds, growth equity investors, and technology companies
• Experience with company formations, seed financings, venture financings, SAFE and convertible note transactions, corporate governance matters, and mergers & acquisitions
• Experience drafting and negotiating financing documents, stock purchase agreements, investor rights agreements, voting agreements, and other corporate transaction documents
• Experience managing transaction workstreams and coordinating with founders, investors, and outside advisors
• Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills
• Strong quantitative and Excel skills preferred
• Ability to effectively manage internal and external client and counsel relationships
• Excellent academic credentials, references, and interpersonal skills
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
• Washington bar admission required or ability to become admitted
