Medical Director Veterinarian

Introduction
An established veterinary hospital in Braselton, Georgia is seeking a Medical Lead Veterinarian to join its team. The hospital is AAHA accredited and provides comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats within a full-service General Practice environment. This position combines hands-on clinical responsibilities with medical leadership, providing the opportunity to contribute to the continued development of clinical standards, team performance and the overall delivery of patient care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of General Practice responsibilities alongside the leadership responsibilities associated with the Medical Lead position. The successful veterinarian will provide comprehensive clinical care across wellness and preventive medicine, diagnostic investigation, treatment planning, dentistry, surgery and ongoing medical management. Leadership responsibilities will include supporting clinical standards, mentoring and developing the veterinary team, promoting effective communication and collaboration, and contributing to the continued growth and development of the hospital. The Medical Lead will work closely with hospital leadership and the wider clinical team while continuing to maintain an active caseload and responsibility for their own patients.

Practice Details
The hospital provides a full scope of GP services, alongside Urgent Care, advanced medical care, Acupuncture, Laser Therapy, Behavioral Care and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. The hospital is equipped to manage the majority of medical and surgical cases in-house and has access to direct consultation with board-certified specialists when additional expertise is required. The practice is well equipped with modern diagnostic equipment including x-ray, in house lab, tonometry, ultrasound and a dental x-ray. The hospital is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and is closed on Sundays.

Team
The hospital has an established veterinary and support team, currently including three veterinarians, alongside a Practice Manager, Licensed Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants and client service professionals. The Medical Lead will play an active role within this team, supporting clinical development, collaboration and the maintenance of high medical standards across the hospital. The wider support structure provides assistance with patient care and day-to-day clinical operations, allowing the Medical Lead to balance their clinical caseload with their leadership responsibilities.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
