CNC and AI Machinist

This is not your typical CNC machinist role. We want you to create and use new ways of CNC machining using AI, auto-CAM tools, and other methods by eliminating wasted clicks and repeating what can be automated (container method on Fusion 360, for example). We value more that you have a repeatable speed/feed database for tools you use often than knowing how to quickly calculate it on the fly or knowing it by heart; we care deeply that you think about the entire system and work towards automating every step between the digital file and the machined part. What we’re looking for Strong organizational instincts and attention to detail Interest in manufacturing, operations, robots, or industrial systems Comfortable being highly hands-on in a shop environment High agency and initiative Basic software fluency; able to use tools like ChatGPT and Claude to build lightweight software solutions when useful Application requirements Resume Personal project / side-project portfolioYour side-project portfolio matters a lot to us. We want people who build things on their own time — people with curiosity, initiative, and the ability to make things happen with minimal direction.
