Job Location: Redondo Beach, CA

Duration: 11 Months

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational health nursing services to employees or persons who become ill or suffer a work-related or non-work-related injury.
• Perform case management for work-related and non-work-related injuries and illnesses collaborating with Environmental, Health and Safety.
• Attend to subsequent dressings of injuries; maintain records of persons treated; administer company policy in regards to Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace-coordinating drug/alcohol testing (post incident and for cause), administer required immunizations and vaccinations, assist with OSHA required medical surveillance exams (audiometric, respiratory, vision and urine collection).
• Screen employees for return to work clearance collaborating with the leave of absence desk.
• Prepare reports and assist with development of medical procedures and/or protocols.
• Support Corporate Health & Wellness Programs (blood drives, health fair and flu shots).
• Provide health education information; dispense standard drugs and medicines such as aspirin and cough or cold tablets; refer contagious diseases or serious injuries to company or employee's physician and may assist company doctor, assist with medical equipment and supplies are maintained, sanitized and ready for use at all times.

Basic Qualifications for Nurse 3:

• High School diploma or equivalent, and 4 years of additional education and/or related experience.
• Current AED and CPR certifications.
• Registered Nurse with the State Board of Nursing.

Preferred Qualifications for Nurse 3:

• Bachelor of Science Degree.
• Registered nurse with 5 years of nursing experience.
• Certified in audio and spirometer testing.
• Experience with Cal/Osha reporting and assessment standards.
• Occupational Health nursing experience.
