Position Purpose

Under direct supervision, the General Facilities Worker at Francis Ford Coppola Winery is responsible for performing basic duties to repair, adjust, install, maintain, operate, test or otherwise service equipment in support of facility and production operations.

**This role will perform a hybrid of dutites including but not limited to: seaonal grounds maintance and landscaping, combined with year-round housekeeping tasks across the property. Schedule is Monday through Friday, full time 40 hours a week, with generous company sponosored benefits package, 3 weeks Paid Time Off, quarterly wine giveaways and so much more!

Essential Duties

• Collaborates with other stakeholders and third-party providers to ensure a safe working environment as it relates to tools/equipment, training, work environment, unsafe acts, identifying potential issues or other related safety items; works cohesively with team leadership, operators, administration
• Assists in the execution of preventative maintenance activities and schedules for buildings and equipment
• Provides emergent repair and troubleshooting services across a wide range of equipment
• Cleans, lubricates, repairs, and maintains machinery using hand tools or specialized equipment; replaces or repairs defective parts
• Assists in testing electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using devices, such as a multimeter
• Assists with the ordering, purchasing of necessary parts and tools
• Understands and complies with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations; works in accordance with general safety, OSHA, ISO, FSSC and other certification requirements as applicable

Non-Essential Duties

• Assists in maintaining the property's exterior landscape. Performs groundskeeping and routine landscape maintenance duties such as maintaining lawns, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, irrigation, and raking
• Assists in maintaining or makes improvements to property by planting, pruning, grooming and maintaining of all ornamental trees, shrubs, flowers, lawns and softscape features

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Building maintenance experience or equivalent experience with emphasis in a related field
• On-the-job training offered

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• General understanding of building maintenance and basic construction including basic plumbing, basic electrical, landscaping, etc.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools

Working Conditions

• Operate a motor vehicle for Company business on an infrequent or unexpected basis occasionally
• Indoor and outdoor environment with exposure to the elements/temperature variations
• Exposure to weather-related temperature & humidity extremes
• Required to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Must be able to pass fit test and perform work while wearing respirators
• Work at protected heights of 50'
• Work in close quarters or confined spaces
• Exposure to varying levels of dust, chemicals, fumes, gases, and noisy equipment
• Occasionally may be required to lift and carry cases of wine
• May need to determine color, taste and smell of wine using eyes, tongue, and nose

California Pay Transparency Disclaimer: This is a Non-Exempt position. The pay range for this position is $18.46 to $28.86. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
