Senior IT Project Manager (EPIC)

The Project Manager IT Senior manages and oversees all aspects of technology projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget. This position spends the majority of its time addressing complex issues under minimal supervision. It is responsible for reviewing detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports, conducting risk analysis and monitoring the progress of plans against project milestones and budgets. STRONGLY PREFERRED: Experience with EPIC EHR in a health system setting. Essential Job Functions Perform all routine project management practices according to PMI guidance. Serve as an advisor on key projects led by less experienced project managers. Establish project status reporting templates for each set of stakeholders typically associated with a project. Collaborate and guide the building of best practices and processes for IT project management. Continuously learn across the IT service spectrum focusing on building a strong foundation of technical knowledge. Perform routine Program and Portfolio Management activities as needed within the IT department. Coach and mentor other project management professionals, project stakeholders, and IT colleagues on project management best practices. Perform other duties as assigned.
