Application Governance & Service Management Engineer - OnsiteGenesis10 is currently seeking an Application Governance & Service Management Engineer - Onsite position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC or Jacksonville, FL. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.This role focuses on Application Infrastructure Technology (AIT) management, ensuring that registered applications maintain compliance with internal policies and standards. The position involves reviewing and documenting current workflows, managing risk for day-to-day operations, and identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation.Responsibilities:Document current and future state process maps to standardize and maintain end-to-end application management workflows and proceduresEvaluate existing workflow processes to ensure clarity, completeness, and scalability across application governance and identify gapsDefine and clearly document roles, responsibilities, and ownership across application management activitiesExplore automation opportunities for workflowsPartner with Application Managers, engineering teams, and service management stakeholders to drive process adoptionExtract, consolidate, and analyze data from multiple systems to extract trending for workflowsProcess data to provide actionable insights and support decision-makingCollaborate with data analysts to align reporting, dashboards, and risk analysis outputsSupport audit activities by ensuring processes are properly documented and governance standards are metAct as a key influencer to drive alignment and adoption of process improvements across teamsRequirements:7+ years of experience in process documentation, technical writing, or business process analysisExperience with Application / AIT GovernanceExperience with Agile tools such as JiraStrong analytical skills and expertise in tools (Excel, Power Query, Tableau and similar tools) for data extraction, manipulation, and analysisStrong documentation skills using visual mapping methods and document repositories, such as Visio, Powerpoint, Sharepoint, ConfluenceStrong experience creating clear, structured process documentation and workflow diagramsAbility to manage and work with data across multiple systems and spreadsheet-driven processesAbility to influence and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholdersStrong organizational skills and attention to detail in complex operational environmentsAbility to drive clarity and structure in ambiguous or evolving processesDesired skills:Experience with Application governance and lifecycle management - policies, standards, processes, and systemsGood understanding of Risk frameworksFamiliarity with patch management and remediation workflowsExperience supporting audits or working within risk/compliance frameworksBackground working in technology, infrastructure, or engineering organizationsExperience partnering with data analytics teams or working with dashboards and reporting toolsExperience operating in environments undergoing transformation or process optimization effortsPay range: $60.24 - $68.24 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!
