Job Purpose:

To provide safe, comfortable and timely transportation of residents to and from the facility

MUST BE CDL LICENSED

Salary Range based on years of experience: $17.60-$27.90/hour

Essential Functions:

Provide transportation of passengers, supplies and equipment as requested by the Director of Nursing and Health Services Unit or appropriate designated authority;

Safe and timely portal-to-portal transportation of residents on both a scheduled and as needed basis.

Responsible for pickup and delivery of supplies, equipment and material as required.

Assures that vehicle is fully fueled and ready to drive; reports mechanical problems to appropriate source for repairs.

Maintains required transportation logs, records and reports.

Observes residents for any change in condition and reports same to Unit Manager.

Ability to observe residents' conditions and respond and communicate with residents and staff:

Ability to deal effectively and appropriately with residents and public.

Perform other related assignments as related.

Ensure resident's rights are followed by all volunteers.

Performs other related assignments as required.

Qualifications:

High school education or equivalent.

Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.

Must be CDL Licensed
