Fruit Specialist I Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $17.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift

• Wash, peel, cut, slice, and package fresh fruit according to company recipes and portion standards

• Ensure all products meet freshness, quality, and appearance standards.

• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines (e.g., proper handwashing, glove use, temperature control).

• Properly label, date, and rotate products using standard procedures to ensure quality

. • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area, including equipment and prep surfaces.

• Safely operate knives, cutting tools, and food preparation equipment

. • Stock and organize the merchandising stations so they look full.

• Prepare and cut fruit/vegetables to have ready to sell. • Post applicable promotional displays (posters, banners, etc.).

• Promote fruit/vegetables by sampling daily. • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and health regulations.

• Maintain an active Food Handler Certification.

• Other duties as assigned.

Fruit Specialist I Qualifications:

• Food Handler Certification required

• Previous food prep, produce, or grocery experience preferred (not required

) • Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices 

Ability to safely use knives and food preparation tools

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Knowledge of fruit/vegetable handling

• Ability to follow recipes and production guidelines

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team

• Must have excellent customer service skills

• Must take initiative and be able to work efficiently with minimal supervision

• Applicant may be subject to a background check
• Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
