Job Summary Prepares and compiles documents required by the federal government for discharge of foreign cargo at domestic ports, serving as an intermediary between importers, merchant shipping companies, airlines, railroads, trucking companies, pipeline operators, and the United States Customs Service by performing the following duties personally or through a subordinate supervisor. Essential Functions Act as focal point of contact for existing and new customers Daily arrangement of customs clearance and monitor the customs brokers daily procedure & reports Implement SOP perfectly to meet customer specific requirements Work with Coordinator/Documentation in terms of system data entry and checking Invoice preparation, cost checking, presentation, job checking and closing Support manager to meet with customers for better communication, efficient cooperation, or removing misunderstandings, etc. Complete other related jobs assigned by the team leader Job Requirements Minimum 3 years of relevant experience A college degree is required Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment Good communication and organization skills and a strong attention to detail are required The ability to work on a team is strongly desired Familiar with customs clearance procedures both in import and export Knowledge of import and export procedures Knowledge of customs policy Good Microsoft Office skills in Excel and Word Ability to learn various computer programs Physical Capabilities The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
