Founded in 1947, South Bend Orthopaedics (SBO), a proud partner of OrthoAlliance, provides specialized care for musculoskeletal surgery, orthopedic rehabilitation and the treatment of sports and work-related injuries. SBO has served northern Indiana and southwest Michigan for decades and has been the orthopaedic surgeons for the University of Notre Dame Athletics Department since 1949. Services include joint replacement, sports medicine, upper and lower extremity surgery, pain management, imaging and physical and occupational therapy. With 20 physicians and a team of advanced practitioners, SBO delivers comprehensive orthopedic care across multiple locations. Responsibilities

Evaluates and treats patients with musculoskeletal injuries, conditions and disabilities through the use of various physical modalities, therapeutic exercises and therapeutic procedures in accordance with the physician's orders and department policies.

Essential Functions

• Assesses, consults with physician, develops plan of care and goals.
• Utilizes electronic health records efficiently and effectively.
• Observes and reassesses the patient's condition.
• Instructs patients in home exercise.
• Operates within safety, infection and environmental control policies.
• Fits, instructs in use and dispenses assistive devices.
• Fits and instructs patients in the use and care of durable medical equipment.
• Provides coverage at other SBO locations.
• Stays current in their respective field.
• Attends meetings and in-services.
• Maintains patient.
• Performs related work.
• Supervises and reviews physical therapy assistant treatments.

Qualifications

Education: B.S., M.S., or Ph.D in an accredited physical therapy program. Registered as a physical therapist and licensed in the state of Indiana.

Experience: Minimum of two years physical therapy experience preferred. New graduates are considered.

USD $75,000.00/Hr. USD $125,000.00/Hr.
