Position Summary...

The (USA) Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance, is responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities and equipment. This role involves inspecting, repairing, and documenting maintenance activities while managing work orders and coordinating with contractors. The technician operates heavy machinery safely, complies with regulatory standards, and supports company policies and ethics. By identifying repair and replacement needs, this position contributes to maintaining operational efficiency and quality standards across facilities, ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment aligned with organizational goals.

What You'll Do...

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities, equipment, and fixtures.
• Inspect, clean, and repair facilities and equipment, documenting wear, repair needs, and replacement recommendations.
• Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractor compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Operate and maintain heavy machinery and company vehicles following safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Order parts, track inventory, submit warranty claims, and process maintenance invoices.
• Identify hazards, unsafe conditions, and equipment malfunctions, taking corrective action or escalating as needed.
• Collaborate with teams to implement processes that meet business needs and support continuous improvement.

What You'll Bring...

• Proven experience performing preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures following established schedules and guidelines.
• Ability to operate, inspect, maneuver heavy machinery and powered equipment safely in compliance with certification requirements.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations including OSHA and EPA standards, ensuring quality and compliance in all maintenance activities.
• Skilled in managing work orders, maintenance schedules, contractor coordination, and related documentation accurately.
• Competence in identifying repair needs, recommending replacements, and conducting price comparisons for parts and services.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with managers, coworkers, and contractors.
• Commitment to upholding company policies, ethics, and integrity while supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Minimum Qualifications...

Vocational or technical certification and 2 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area. Option 2: 4 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area. Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report. Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years. Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years. No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years. No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
