Temporary ASCP/AMT Technician

Part-Time Contract, for an 8-week assignment near Janesville, Wisconsin. Provide laboratory testing in blood bank, hematology, chemistry, and phlebotomy while maintaining equipment and ensuring quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and timely laboratory testing in blood bank, hematology, chemistry, and phlebotomy, ensuring adherence to protocols
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, perform quality control, and troubleshoot technical issues
• Document all procedures, results, and maintenance activities thoroughly in the laboratory information system
• Collaborate with medical staff and team members to communicate test results and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Follow all safety protocols and infection control guidelines to maintain a safe working environment

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited training program in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent
• ASCP or AMT certification
• Minimum 2 years of generalist laboratory experience with strong phlebotomy and blood bank skills
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to work night shifts
• Reliable transportation
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
