Unit Details
- 9-bed ICU
- Standard ratio: 2 patients to 1 nurse unless 1:1 care is indicated
- Potential for Med/Surg overflow, with up to 3 to 4 patients per nurse in those situations
- Minimum of 3 nurses per shift
- Adult ICU, with occasional stable pediatric patients
- Unstable pediatric patients are transferred to a higher level of care
- 12-hour day or night shifts
- May float to other departments to help, but not to take a patient assignment/team
- No call required
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
- BLS required
- ACLS required
- PALS required
- Pediatric experience required
- Experience in ICU / Critical Care strongly preferred
- Reference checks must be sent
- Holiday coverage required
- No guaranteed hours listed
- Overtime starts after 80 hours in two weeks
