Job Title: Warehouse Specialist Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and fast-paced Warehouse Specialist to join our distribution company. This role is crucial in supporting day-to-day warehouse assignments and ensuring smooth logistics operations.
Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks, pick orders, wrap products, and label shipments.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Transport waste from the assembly line to dumpsters.
• Operate sit-down and stand-up lift reach forklifts (active certification preferred).
• Ensure quality control, preventing the dispatch of damaged products.
• Package finished products for shipping, including shrink wrapping, boxing, and labeling.
• Stage and load finished products onto trucks.
• Stock inventory in the appropriate locations.
• Execute special project tasks, such as product assembly, kitting, labeling, and packaging.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistent and accurate production.
• Verify SKU, quantity, and component accuracy against project documentation or Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Identify and report damaged or incorrect materials to the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Assist with quality control checks to ensure finished products meet project specifications.

Essential Skills

• Forklift operation with 2+ years of experience in standup/sit down forklifts.
• Ability to accurately follow instructions for day-to-day operations.
• Capability to consistently meet deadlines and time constraints.
• Strong multitasking abilities throughout the day.
• Basic problem-solving skills and knowing when to escalate issues.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and career-oriented self-starter attitude.
• Minimum one year of previous warehouse or stockroom experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous WMS (Warehouse Management System) experience is a plus.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
