Job Description Position: Solution Architect (technical writer/ Adobe suite experience) Location: Southboro, MA Duration: 6 Months Rate: Open Job Discription: Client needs to develop some detailed technical documentation (“Reference Architecture Guide”) in a number of technical areas. The documents will describe in detail the client Architectural Solution for those technical subjects. , somewhat like a case study. These documents will be very detailed and technical in the areas of SAP/Hana on VBlock, IT M&A Integration, Business Data Lake, Data Center Consolidation, Federation End-User Computing, Mobile Apps/App Store, and Virtustream. Of these, SAP/Hana on VBlock and IT M&A Integration are the first two to be done. This is not a typical ‘tech writer’ position, though the applicant must have tech writing experience and should be an expert with the Adobe suite of tools. For each area, the detailed architectural document will be about 30 pages including illustrations. Client will provide a starting point via a ‘Playbook’ and the Client technical writing team will provide assistance in the area of templates and standards. The candidate needs to be very strong technically in general, and in the best case have significant knowledge of at least a couple of the indicated technologies and processes. The candidate must be a self-starter and the type of person who makes things happen to get the job done. The candidate must have proven experience in assimilating a lot of available information and figuring out a lot on his/her own. Past experience in a couple of these areas will go a long way to getting an interview. You should describe the candidate’s technical expertise and background in the SIF for any/each of the technical areas, and attach an additional word document if needed. Note that 95% or higher of the typical tech writers will not be able to handle this position. Candidates must be perfectly fluent in American English as a first language in order to deliver the required quality level expected. In summary, we need candidate(s) who are trained and experienced tech writers, but they also must have technical expertise in some areas well above the typical tech writer level. Finally, the candidates must be able to assimilate a lot of information quickly and produce quality results in a short period of time. Successful candidates will be assigned additional technical subject areas upon successful completion of the initially assigned area. Samples of the candidate’s work are desirable. The max rate is been selected to recognize that this isn't a typical tech writer position. However, you shouldn't feel it's necessary to submit all candidates at the maximum. Candidates will be shortlisted if you provide a lot of supporting information that support the need, otherwise will be rejected. Candidates must be local and available to start early October.
