Responsibilities * The Circulating Nurse is responsible for coordinating and managing the multidisciplinary activities required to provide a safe environment for patients undergoing surgical intervention. * Assess patient's physical and psychological needs. * Evaluate and implement appropriate measures to assure a safe recovery from anesthesia. * The OR nurse serves as a patient advocate in the provision of care and is responsible for ensuring patient safety during intra-operative period and with recovery from anesthesia during immediate post op period and with transport to PACU.
