Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Travel)

McKinney, TX | Acute Care – Emergency Department

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM | 3x12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 37-bed, Level 2 Trauma Emergency Department with a 1:4 patient ratio in zone
• Operate GE monitoring equipment and document accurately using MediTech EMR
• Deliver high-caliber patient experience across all interactions in a fast-paced ED environment
• Perform standard ED procedures and respond appropriately to a diverse patient population including pediatric patients
• Float as needed to support ED patients admitted and holding within the department
• Adhere to a schedule that includes 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period; no on-call requirement

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in the state of Texas or compact license eligibility
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• TNCC certification required
• Proficiency with MediTech EMR
• High-caliber patient experience skills are essential; candidates without this will not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an HCA facility
• Familiarity with Level 2 Trauma center workflows and procedures typical of a busy ED
• High energy, self-motivated, and team-oriented personality
• Ability to commit to an early start date with minimal time-off requests during the assignment
