Senior Software Engineer - AI Modeling

Salary: $150,000 - 150,000 per year Requirements:

• We want someone with strong software engineering and coding skills.
• You should have at least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with Python and/or another modern backend language is important.
• You should have hands-on experience building production AI/ML applications.
• Experience with document ingestion, document processing, or document intelligence is required.
• You should have worked with PDFs, OCR, document parsing, extraction, or unstructured data.
• A solid understanding of LLMs, embeddings, vector search, RAG, and AI application architecture is needed.
• Experience building APIs and backend services is expected.
• Strong full-stack development experience is required.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, Next.js, or similar technologies is important.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases is needed.
• You should have strong Git, testing, debugging, and software development practices.
• You need the ability to take ownership of projects and work independently.
• Experience with Unstructured, LlamaParse, Docling, Apache Tika, PyMuPDF, or similar document-processing tools is highly valued.
• Experience with AWS Textract, Google Document AI, Azure Document Intelligence, Tesseract, or comparable OCR/document AI systems is highly valued.
• Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or other frontier LLM APIs is highly valued.
• Experience with Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant, pgvector, or other vector databases is highly valued.
• Experience building AI agents and multi-step AI workflows is highly valued.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP is highly valued.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD is highly valued.
• Experience designing systems that process large document collections is highly valued.
• Experience optimizing AI systems for latency, cost, accuracy, and reliability is highly valued.

• We design and build robust document ingestion and processing pipelines.
• We create systems for ingesting PDFs, Word documents, spreadsheets, images, emails, and other unstructured data.
• We develop document parsing, OCR, classification, extraction, chunking, indexing, and retrieval workflows.
• We build and integrate LLM-powered applications and AI agents.
• We develop RAG systems and intelligent search and retrieval capabilities.
• We design scalable backend services and APIs.
• We build modern frontend applications and interfaces for AI-powered workflows.
• We work across the full stack from data ingestion through the user experience.
• We evaluate and integrate new AI models, frameworks, and technologies.
• We write clean, maintainable, well-tested production code.
• We build monitoring, evaluation, logging, and quality-control systems for AI applications.
• We optimize systems for accuracy, speed, scalability, and cost.
• We troubleshoot complex technical and data-quality issues.
• We work closely with company leadership to turn product ideas into production systems.
