Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift MRI Technologist with 2+ years of MRI experience and ARRT certification for an acute care hospital setting.

Details

• MRI Tech position in a hospital-based Radiology/Cardiology department
• Patient population includes adult and pediatric patients across acute care, ICU, ER/Trauma, and outpatient settings
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Performs MRI exams including abdomen/pelvis, head and neck, spine, musculoskeletal, and special imaging procedures such as MRCP, MRA, MRV, and CINE flow studies
• Uses GE MRI equipment
• 4x10 hour night shifts from 7:30 PM to 6:00 AM, Friday through Monday

Requirements

• ARRT certification required; ARRT (MR) preferred
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience required
• Trauma Level II hospital experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Allscripts charting experience required; Altera experience preferred
• Experience starting peripheral IVs and preparing/administering contrast media
• Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with mandatory compliance
• Candidates should avoid any substances, including CBD products, that could result in a positive drug screen
• Previous perm staff must have separated from the facility for at least 1 year to return as a travamiler
• Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted for this position
• Travel experience preferred but not required
• Non-billable orientation modules average 6-8 hours and are completed during orientation
