Job Description As a Security Officer Distribution Center in Van Buren Township, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and support security-related operations. Preferred experience with X-ray screening and badge access systems will help you contribute to a welcoming, well-managed environment. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $17.43 / Hour Job Schedule Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry as directed, and report suspicious activity, damaged property, and security-related concerns. Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with site-specific policies. Minimum Requirements X-Ray screening experience is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
