- Employment Type: Contract / Locum Tenens
- Start Date: June 8, 2026 (ASAP start available)
- End Date: September 7, 2026 (potential for ongoing extension)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $6,150 - $7,280
- Setting: On-site at a Level 4 trauma facility (hospital-based pathology)
- Board certified or board eligible in Pathology (Anatomic & Clinical)
- Fellowship trained in pathology (required)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in anatomic and clinical pathology
- Proficiency in surgical pathology with subspecialty experience in GI, GU, neuropathology, dermatopathology, hematopathology (bone marrow, lymph nodes), and pediatric tumor pathology
- Experience with cytology (GYN and non-GYN), fine needle aspirations (FNAs), autopsy services (forensic and non-forensic), frozen sections, hematology, microbiology, chemistry/serology, and blood bank
- Eligible for Montana state medical licensure (Montana medical license required prior to start)
- Interpret and diagnose a wide range of pathology specimens, including surgical, GI, GU, neuro, derm, and pediatric tumor pathology
- Perform and interpret bone marrow aspirations and biopsies and provide hematopathology expertise
- Conduct cytology evaluations for GYN and non-GYN cases and perform FNAs
- Participate in autopsy services (forensic and non-forensic) and provide thorough post-mortem assessments
- Gross and cut frozen sections as needed to support intraoperative consultations
- Provide oversight and interpretation for hematology, microbiology, chemistry/serology, and blood bank testing
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams to support high-quality patient care and pathology reporting
- Diverse case mix and meaningful anatomic & clinical pathology work
- Work on-site at a busy Level 4 trauma center with supportive colleagues
