Cath Lab Tech

This position requires a Cath Lab Tech with Interventional Radiology (IR) experience. The shift is typically 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, working 40 hours a week. Call is required, with every third weekend and call days during the week (usually 1-2 days). Weekend coverage may vary based on need. The candidate will work with heart catheterization patients, including right hearts and pacemaker insertions. Special procedures include low-risk percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI). Experience with special equipment is required, including Teleflex IABP, Impella, and Boston Sci IVUS. The role involves performing diagnostic cardiac catheterizations and interventional cardiac catheterizations. Skills required include angioplasty, cardiac stent placement, and carotid stenting, among others. The candidate must be able to handle central venous access and assist with other procedures as needed. Candidates will be required to float to other units as necessary, based on census concerns. Competencies must have been demonstrated and documented for the tasks performed. Modules are required and must be completed pre-start. Time spent completing modules will be reimbursed, up to a specified limit.
