Front Desk Associate

Job Summary Interface with visitors, patients, family, and physicians on phone and in person. Responsibilities Operates telephone system including receiving incoming calls, taking messages, identify nature of business and call. Performs clerical duties including distribution of mail and messages, monitoring office supplies, and maintaining postage meter. Assist with chart preparation. Assist with Admissions. Check in pre‑op patients. Copy identification and insurance. Communication with Pre‑Op nursing staff. Collect patient responsibility as determined by the Insurance Verifier. Provide relief to Admitting, Office Assistant, and Scheduling as required. One year previous experience or some hospital clerical experience or medical terminology preferred. Must have the skills necessary to operate office equipment that are required to fulfill job duties. Forty‑five (45) wpm typing skills required. Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial. Bilingual preferred. Good communication skills. Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent. One year previous experience or some hospital clerical experience or medical terminology preferred. Must have the skills necessary to operate office equipment that are required to fulfill job duties. Forty‑five (45) wpm typing skills required. Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial. Bilingual preferred. Good communication skills.
