What You'll Be Doing

• Completing thorough patient evaluations and defining tailored care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions, working jointly with physicians or practicing independently (aligned with your certifications)
• Informing patients and their families about preventive strategies, wellness, and disease management
• Prescribing medications and therapies as per your scope of practice

• Accurately documenting within electronic medical records (EMR)

Education Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Required Certifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Michigan
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to achieve within 90 days)
