Operations Manager

Position Summary This position is accountable for the operation, personnel management, and the service to customers within a specified geographic region. Hours Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm Essential Functions Develop operating plans for the assigned regional operation Serve as point of contact for drivers regarding issues/questions pertaining to organizational policies, payroll, benefits, etc. Set up schedules for drivers Recruit drivers/owner operators Engage with customers to drive growth and enhance relationships Resolve customer issues Ensure that the safety values of the organization are followed Assist, support and direct managers Manage, coach, discipline, and evaluate staff Qualifications Bachelor degree in business or equivalent work experience Background in transportation Good people skills Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written Note: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
