Job Overview The General Manager role will:
- Manage and maintain staffing schedules for all departments
- Ensure effective allocation of resources
- Monitor and control costs, including inventory and payroll
- Process bi-weekly payroll
- Hold regular standups with all team members and department leaders
- Maintain a positive culture and working environment
- Ensure the hotel is compliant with brand standards
- Work with various vendors to source quotes and maintain contracts
- Tour and visually inspect the property on a daily basis
- Oversee the maintenance of general facilities
- Create a sales & marketing plan to help drive corporate accounts and group business
- Complete the month-end reporting
- Prepare and submit all invoices through the corporate accounting system
- Actively work with ownership and the corporate accounting team
Qualifications
A minimum of five years of hotel General Manager experience, including responsibility for hotel operations, financial performance, team leadership, and brand compliance
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with computers and email communication
- Must be able to reliably commute or relocate to the Tucson, Arizona area
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
