Analytics Engineer

• Build and ship reporting against the Gold layer, from the query through to the interface the business opens, and work the report request queue
• Vet the financial, schedule, and safety figures behind what you ship. Leadership acts on these numbers, and nothing goes out on an untested calculation.
• Design and build internal web applications on Azure Static Web Apps, Container Apps, and Functions with Entra ID authentication, front end through back end, and own hosting configuration, deployment, releases, and in-app user roles for what you build
• Develop & maintain MCP servers, data they expose, and lead the shift from per source access to a lake first model where every application, report, and agent reads from Gold
• Write evals for every AI feature that ships, and keep them running as the feature changes
• Build ingestion from our systems of record, including Sage 300 CRE, UKG, Smartsheet, Samsara, ToolWatch, and Command Alkon, using Azure Data Factory pipelines and Fabric notebooks
• Build Silver and Gold tables inside the medallion design set by our Data Architect, and keep the models, measures, and definitions documented so one number means one thing company wide
• Own the data quality framework: schema validation, deduplication on business keys, business rules, reconciliation against source totals, with failures quarantined & alerted
• Ship through Fabric deployment pipelines and GitHub, Dev to Test to Prod, with unit tests gating merges and data validation assertions gating each promotion
• Handle secrets through Azure Key Vault and managed identity, and work within the separate masked and full fidelity PII paths the platform defines

Requirements

• 5 to 8 years building and shipping production software, reporting, and data pipelines, including senior ownership of systems other people depend on
• Hands on production experience with an agentic coding tool. Claude Code strongly preferred; Cursor or Copilot experience transfers. Not casual use.
• Experience building and deploying web applications, ideally Azure Static Web Apps, Container Apps, or Functions, including authentication and role based access
• A track record of delivering reporting end to end: understanding the business question, modeling the data, building the thing people open, and standing behind the numbers in it
• Hands on Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, lakehouses, notebooks, and Data Factory pipelines, or Synapse and ADLS Gen2 experience you can carry directly into Fabric
• Building Silver and Gold tables in a medallion or layered lakehouse, including incremental loads and Delta or Parquet formats
• Data quality and testing inside pipelines, including unit tests in CI and assertion frameworks such as dbt tests or Great Expectations
• Git based CI/CD and release discipline: branch strategy, PR review, promotion gates, and environment config
• Practical LLM experience: prompt design, retrieval (RAG), tool calling, agent workflows, and evaluating whether an AI feature actually works
• Solid fundamentals in data modeling, API design, and permissions and access control
• Clear writing, since you will document models, definitions, and decisions for both engineers and executives

NICE TO HAVE

• Direct Claude depth beyond Claude Code: the Claude API, Claude Enterprise, MCP, subagents, skills, or hooks
• Building or migrating MCP servers, or comparable tool integration layers
• Azure Container Apps, Azure Functions, and Static Web Apps CI/CD
• Fabric deployment pipelines, deployment rules, and the Deployment Pipelines REST APIs
• Azure Key Vault and managed identity, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics
• Microsoft Purview and data governance for financial and workforce data, including sensitivity labeling, lineage, and PII handling, plus NIST / CMMC awareness
• Construction ERP and field systems such as Sage 300 CRE, UKG, Command Alkon, or Samsara, or comparable internal operations tooling

Summary Suntec Concrete builds its own software. As a Claude Enterprise customer, our Data, Analytics & Software Engineering team builds what the business actually uses: the applications, the reporting layer, and the data platform underneath them. All of it runs on Azure, on a governed Microsoft Fabric data platform we are standing up now. The Analytics Engineer builds across all three. This is a hybrid role by design. In a given month you might build a Gold table in Fabric, build the report that runs on it, and ship the web application that puts it in front of a project manager in the field. Our Data Architect owns the Fabric and OneLake architecture and the medallion design; you build inside it, and you own what you ship.
