Occupational Therapist PRN - Acute / Inpatient Rehab

About this Job Join the Centralized PRN Pool in Baltimore and provide services at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital. The Physical Therapist will deliver screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, reassessment, and discharge documentation across various inpatient and outpatient settings. The role includes collaboration in program planning, protocol development, and interdisciplinary teamwork. Primary Duties Provide evaluation services, including review of relevant history, performance of assessments, and determination of recommendations. Explain evaluation findings and treatment plan to patients and families, incorporating them into goal setting. Implement treatment protocols based on evaluation findings and patient presentation. Consult with other healthcare professionals as indicated and update the plan of care when patient condition changes. Complete discharge planning and follow‑up care documentation. Accurately and timely document and charge for patient care activities, maintaining clear records of progress. Demonstrate effective time management, meet productivity expectations, and maintain a professional commitment to patient access. Pursue continuing education for professional growth and serve as a clinical instructor for students. Assist with orientation and mentoring of new staff, students, volunteers, and technicians. Qualifications Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy. Licensure in Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), or Virginia as required for specific location(s).
