Job Details Position: OBGYN Registered Nurse / Postpartum RN Employment Type: Travel Nurse Assignment Setting: Inpatient postpartum / family-centered women and infants care Location: Columbus, OH 43210 Start Date: 11/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts Shift Duration: 12-hour nights Hours per Week: 36 Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,720 - $1,820 Weekend Coverage: Required Orientation: 36 hours Floating: May float to similar acuity units as needed Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of postpartum nursing experience Valid BLS certification IV certification and strong IV start skills Labor and delivery experience preferred Experience with Epic electronic medical record system preferred Telemetry interpretation experience required; candidate must pass an EKG exam prior to start Active Registered Nurse license in hand at the time of submission At least 1 professional reference from a manager, director, or other formal leadership role Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Responsibilities Provide compassionate, family-centered postpartum nursing care to mothers and healthy newborns Support patients following vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections Care for postpartum readmissions, including wound infection and preeclampsia Monitor and educate patients on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, newborn care, and discharge planning Administer medications, blood products, IV therapies, and other ordered treatments Perform newborn assessments, thermoregulation support, and routine postpartum nursing interventions Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote safe, high-quality patient outcomes Maintain accurate documentation and deliver excellent bedside communication Apply now to join this travel nursing opportunity in Columbus, Ohio, and make a meaningful impact in postpartum and women’s health care.
