Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Wire Harness Assembler to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have experience assembling wire harnesses, working with hand tools, and performing basic soldering. This position involves building cabling used in advanced power systems while following engineering drawings, diagrams, and detailed specifications.
Responsibilities
- Assemble wire harnesses and cabling according to engineering drawings, pictures, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Cut, strip, and prepare wires for assembly.
- Crimp connectors and inspect crimps for proper quality.
- Perform small soldering tasks on wire harnesses, PCB boards, and other connectors.
- Verify materials and completed assemblies meet specifications.
- Read and follow written, verbal, pictorial, and engineering instructions.
- Use various hand and power tools, including crimpers, soldering irons, and drills.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced production environment.
- Identify and correct assembly or quality issues as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of related wire harness or electrical assembly experience .
- High school diploma required; some college coursework preferred.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and BOMs.
- Familiarity with different types of hardware and connectors.
- Ability to identify proper versus poor-quality crimps.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and crimping tools.
- Basic soldering experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
