MAINTENANCE ENGINEER ATTENDANT - CONSTRUCTION MGMT - CRDE (FULL-TIME/DAYS)

Job Title

Pearl River Resort Associates are required, on a continual basis to

Adhere to any and all company and departmental policies, practices and procedures.

Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.

Maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation.

Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOP's) and policies and procedures.

Maintains all mechanical and cosmetic items in guest rooms and public areas.

Monitors work load and advises supervisor of work overload.

Assists other Engineers and Mechanics in repairs.

Maintains a neat, clean, and organized work area in the Engineering Shop.

Ensure adherence to all OSHA regulations and internal safety policies and procedures.

Prepares daily work forms.

Routinely inspects all lighting throughout the property, identifying potential problems and resolving same.

Responds to maintenance requests.

Ensures a maximum level of service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained.

Maintains a working knowledge and understanding of all rules, regulations and controls of the company.

Leads by setting a positive example to all associates.

Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.

AGE and GAMING:

21 years of age or above

Gaming property Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED required.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to operate hand tools, read a tape measure and understand their function is preferred. Some construction or maintenance background is preferred. Must possess a valid Driver's License and good driving record with two (2) or less moving violations within a 12-month period and no DUI or suspended license within the last 3 years.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job

Essential duties for this position include but not limited to the following: able to work within a variety of climates and outdoors under extreme conditions. Safely lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds on occasions as well as able to walk or stand for 90% of assigned shift. Repetitive bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing and pulling will be required throughout shift. Exposed to hazardous chemicals. Use of personal Protective Equipment such as masks, gloves, shoes, etc, may be required at times. May require working out of doors in inclement weather, and extreme hot or cold conditions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, loud in the mechanical rooms. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke.

Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Associates must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
