Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist

Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist in Salinas, California, providing assessment and therapy for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing needs across all ages. Works within a multidisciplinary team to improve patient communication and independence. Offers professional growth in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess referred patients to determine speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with physician recommendations and patient/family goals.
• Administer evidence-based speech-language pathology interventions.
• Complete thorough and timely documentation of evaluations, treatments, and progress.
• Monitor patient outcomes and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients, families, caregivers, and staff on treatment plans and therapeutic techniques.
• Assist patients in achieving highest possible independence and functional communication.
• Maintain efficient, high-quality, cost-effective patient care.
• Mentor new employees and volunteers as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, rehab professionals, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Adhere to all hospital safety policies, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current California Speech-Language Pathology License or temporary license with commitment to obtain permanent licensure within one year
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification for Healthcare Providers
