Sr Training Specialist

Job Summary The Senior Training Specialist assists with needs assessment, discovery, design, development, and implementation of training programs. They are responsible for the successful delivery of technical training, service skills training, and other developmental training to new and experienced staff under limited supervision, focusing on Appeals and Grievances topics. The role involves creating engaging learning environments, collaborating with subject matter experts and instructional designers, mentoring peers, spearheading special projects, and handling complex training‑related issues. Key Responsibilities Deliver technical, customer service, and developmental training to new and experienced staff. Create engaging learning environments using available tools such as Adobe and Teams. Develop and deliver custom training solutions, including quick‑turn refreshers and specialized modules. Prepare and maintain course materials, handle program administration, communication, scheduling, and roster management. Adhere to the training schedule, communicate blockers or risks to leadership, and follow through with post‑course wrap‑up activities. Participate in project work to support initiatives that enhance operational excellence. Provide on‑the‑job training support while maintaining current knowledge of organizational processes and quality assurance standards. Schedule and complete peer‑to‑peer mentor sessions, including feedback discussions. Lead special projects, including planning, execution, and evaluation. Consult and handle complex training‑related issues and provide solutions. Facilitate team meetings. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education and Certification : Bachelor’s degree in education or related field, or equivalent experience. Experience : External candidates – 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a training and development position, preferably in healthcare; Internal candidates – minimum 3 years in a Training Specialist role demonstrating facilitation and mentoring skills. Skill Requirements : Mastery of virtual classroom facilitation; ability to monitor personal progress against performance metrics; agility in supporting multiple teams and lines of business; proven ability to provide timely and respectful feedback; action‑oriented behavior; ability to prioritize tasks, plan, and organize work; effective at creating an inclusive environment and seeking efficiencies. Working Conditions and Additional Requirements Work under normal office conditions and from home as required. Simultaneous use of telephone/headset and PC/keyboard; prolonged sitting. Additional hours beyond the standard work schedule may be required. Salary Range $65,461.31 – $98,191.97 Compensation & Total Rewards Overview The annual base salary range represents a range of salaries for this role and similar roles across the organization.
